Five sculptures explore direct personifications of specific stages within the life cycle, from birth to death. I call this work “The In-Between”. They are about the passage of time and how different stages in our lives shape our perception of ourselves and life in general. Ranges of human concerns are embodied with in this work. In each piece of the life cycle the body becomes a theater of the emotional state and a metaphor for a particular event or time in life.
